Ginger mint

As far as we understand, ginger mint is not a botanical species name, but more a cultivar, or group of cultivars. It is not one of about 20 species of mint, and thus we are in “hybrid land”, which when it comes to mints can quickly become very confusing since they easily hybridize between species. There are at least 2,000 named cultivars of coins.

The one we have is nice to look at, and tastes ok, but is not the one we use most in cooking. Great as a decoration.
