Description
Mentha x piperita
Chocolate mint is botanically a variant of many crosses between water mint (M. aquatica) and green mint (M. spicata). Most varieties in this group are the ones most people know: peppermint. The chocolate mint is very similar to peppermint, but strangely enough has a fairly distinct smell of chocolate, “with a hint of” vanilla. Great for teas, cakes and desserts where this aroma fits in.
