Mojito mint (variant 1)
kr 99,00 – kr 159,00 inkl.mva
Strong and sweet mint. A classic for tea and in fresh drinks.
Description
Kultivar
Compared to what we call variant 2, which is of a different origin, this one is stronger and denser in growth. But these are small nuances, and taste is difficult to describe, so feel free to try both!
Cultivar
The material we have is a wild variant of the species, and as far as we know no known cultivar (=”variety”)
Species
Mentha x villosa Huds.
Mojito mint, also called Cuban or Moroccan mint, is probably found in many different varieties since it is anyway a hybrid between M. spicata x M. suaveolens. Strong and sweet mint. A classic for tea and in fresh drinks.
Genus
There are more than 2,000 named hybrids between various combinations of the roughly 20 species in the mint genus. Since the species interbreed so easily, new combinations will emerge in gardens multiple species and hybrids. This has led to a situation with a lot of conflicting information about names and which species are included.
