The sustainable food production of the future must be based on everything we know about the ecology of the soil, about the potential in breeding locally adapted varieties, and on the importance for the local community that everyone who wants can participate in food production, and experience the quality of fresh and healthy produce. But it must also be smart, otherwise “organic” and “short-lived” easily become only “feel-good” and expensive niche production for especially interested people and without effect in the big picture. We believe in the best of this trend, but such complex and laborious production is not going to become economically possible unless we adopt smart technology. Bi-O wants to contribute to this.
